Wijnhavenkwartier – Den Haag
Wijnhaven, Turfmarkt and Kalvermarkt: names which relate to Dutch shipping history. Later, this area became the domain of civil servants. For a long time, this was a location where people mainly worked. Now we are taking a different approach. Contractor Heijmans has transformed the former ministries of Security & Justice and Home Affairs & Kingdom Relations in the Wijnhavenkwartier in The Hague into a new vibrant city centre.
In this project, the outdoor space was created by the lightweight microbeton balconies that are directly attached to the existing floor slabs.
